About the Role: The Operations Manager for College HUNKS Moving plays a pivotal role in driving daily operations, performance, and team culture at the local franchise level. This position focuses on overseeing daily & weekly operations and ensuring effective scheduling, customer satisfaction, and profitability. The role requires a professional individual with a growth mindset who can manage various aspects of the business, including customer interactions, sales, scheduling, and budgeting. This individual is not just a manager but a leader, coach, and culture champion- responsible for building a high-performing team and creating an environment where people are empowered to grow and succeed.

Key Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

Leadership & Team Building

1. Recruit, train, mentor, and retain team members who align with our mission and values
2. Foster a fun, safe, and high-energy work environment where individuals feel valued and challenged to grow
3. Lead regular team meetings, performance reviews, and technical trainings
4. Model leadership behaviors that inspire others to take initiative and embody our core values
5. Act as a culture driver, ensuring consistent alignment with our brand promise, internal development goals, and community engagement

Operations

1. Oversee and refine daily workflows and systems that drive team efficiency and client satisfaction
2. Conduct welcome and confirmation calls to clients
3. Investigate and resolve customer concerns with professionalism and urgency
4. Manage moving labor and staffing to hit company goals
5. Oversee crew scheduling, input daily metrics, and manage truck returns, basic moving operations.
6. Ensure the shop is closed properly and stocked with necessary supplies
7. Experience as a straight truck driver
8. Possess a valid, clean driver's license
9. Have significant moving experience & as a professional material handler
10. Be committed to a high level of customer service
11. Be very strong in sales
12. Be hard-working and enjoy physical labor
13. Be able to lift at least 75lbs
14. Excel in a position of independence and responsibility.

Marketing

1. Represent the brand at networking events and professional organization meetings
2. Support and lead the sales team in driving local awareness and customer acquisition

Position Required Experience and Skills:

1. Experience managing a service industry operation is preferred
2. Strong background in Sales, Marketing, and Operations/Systems Management
3. Confident and proactive communicator; able to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and team members
4. Proven ability to make informed, data-driven decisions and remain adaptable in dynamic environments
5. Safety- and liability-conscious leader
6. Demonstrate leadership ability with a track record of developing and motivating teams
7. Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
8. Exceptional interpersonal skills; able to collaborate effectively at all organizational levels
9. Self-disciplined and capable of operating independently with minimal supervision

Additional Skills:

1. Proficient in Microsoft Applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook
2. Moving & Storage industry experience

Compensation:

1. Pay range is between $21-$25 per hour. Paid bi-weekly. Simple 401K

Schedule:

1. 5 days per week, including Saturdays, for the initial 3 months
