L.E.V.E.L.S Mental Health is seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Mental Health Professional (or licensure-track clinician) to serve Mobile Crisis division as a Crisis Lead which is a vital role. This position is central to our mission, and it is an opportunity to assist our clinical leadership with direct crisis intervention, conducting assessments and providing mentorship to other staff to ensure the highest quality of care is being provided to our clients.
We are currently looking for a licensed mental health professionals who possesses a Master's degree in the human services field, which includes social work, gerontology, psychology, special education, sociology, counseling, and human services counseling, or has completed a graduate degree and is under the direct personal supervision of someone licensed under Virginia law, who is working towards licensure and is compliant with the appropriate Virginia licensing board, may perform the functions of the LMHP.
Responsibilities include:
- Complete client assessments, Individual Service Plans (ISPs), and QMHP documentation (progress notes and intakes) for accuracy and compliance.
- Conducting regular clinical file audits to ensure adherence to agency, state (DMAS/DBHDS), and regulatory standards. Documenting findings and report to the Crisis Supervisor and Executive Director.
- Conducting comprehensive, diagnostic assessments from multiple perspectives (psychological, social, medical, behavioral).
- Preparing written diagnostic assessments to be conducted face to face, assessing clients from multiple perspectives, including psychological/emotional, social, academic, medical, behavioral, substance abuse, skills, strengths, barriers to economic self-sufficiency, treatment history, and others, using various assessment instruments.
- Assisting mental health workers in creating community stabilization initial ISPs within 24 hours and subsequent ISPs within 30 days of treatment. Signing off on each initial ISP and ISP personally and timely.
- Assisting the Crisis Supervisor with providing supervision to QMHPs providing case management services.
- Attend monthly staff meetings and contribute to guidance provided to QMHPs and staff of LEVELS Mental Health.
- Perform file reviews to ensure client files comply with agency, DMAS, DBHDS, and state code policies and procedures. Document clinical file reviews and make recommendations for changes as appropriate. Notify the Crisis Supervisor of findings in a timely manner.
- Provide consulting and additional referrals to community resources as appropriate.
- Stay informed about DMAS, DBHDS, and state policies and procedures. Keep current with community resources and professional trends.
- Assist the Crisis Supervisor with the design and development and oversight aspects of program services and contribute feedback on staff performance appraisals.
- Collaborate and coordinate with other service providers and professionals, such as attorneys, social workers, and probation/parole officers.
- Maintains a caseload of crisis cases.
- Must possess all required licenses, certifications, and training ( Mobile Crisis certification must be completed at the time of application ).
***Please Note: This position requires the employee to work from 1:00-9:00 pm with rotating weekends. Full-time work is 40 hours a week therefore, it may include weekends with some weekdays off.
