As a Security Officer Patrol Access Support in Herndon, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. In this role, you will remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents while building positive connections through clear communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $21.63 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeMon11:00 PM - 07:00 AMThur03:00 PM - 11:00 PMFri03:00 PM - 11:00 PM

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office areas, common spaces, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and report concerns.
  • Monitor access points, observe visitor and employee movement, and document security-related incidents, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns according to site protocols.
  • Support daily operations by assisting with badge checks, directional assistance, and/or policy reminders while maintaining a professional presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
