Registered Nurse - Licensed Clinical Research Coordinator (varying levels)
- Recruitment, screening, and enrolling study participants who meet research criteria
- Obtaining informed consent from study participants and maintaining telephone and in-person contact
- Administration of study medications, all routes
- Administration of pharmaceutical stress agents and monitoring of patients undergoing stress testing
- Collect basic information through scripted and non-scripted interviews
- Collection of subject data, maintaining appropriate logs, tracking participants, and preparing study materials
- Processing, preparing and shipping laboratory specimens
- Organizational and planning tasks
- In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Licensure: Must hold an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia. Education: Bachelor's Degree Required or equivalent combination of experience, education and or certifications. Nursing Diploma may substitute for Degree for Licensed Registered Nurse. Experience: CRC 1 - None. CRC 2 - At least one year of clinical research experience. *CRC 3 - A minimum of 3 years of clinical research experience required. Master's or advanced degree may substitute for 1 year of clinical research experience. *CRC 4 - At least seven years of clinical research experience demonstrating progressive levels of responsibility and complexity of work. Master's or other advanced degree may substitute for one year of clinical research experience. *C linical Research Coordinator (CCRC) and/or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) is required within one year of hire. PHYSICAL DEMANDS This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.
