Job Description: Receiving Clerk / Warehouse Receiver
The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving and inspecting incoming shipments to ensure accuracy, quality, and proper documentation. This role works closely with material handlers to move, store, and track inventory while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage
- Verify quantities against packing slips, bills of lading, or purchase orders
- Update inventory records using scanners or warehouse management systems
- Coordinate with material handlers to move, stage, and store materials
- Operate scanners and basic warehouse equipment as required
- Report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to supervision
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area
Qualifications:
- Previous receiving or warehouse experience preferred
- Basic computer or scanner experience
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
