We are seeking a US citizen residing in the United States with project manager experience working for the Federal Government. The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful execution of a project involving a Section 508 Web Conformance Software as a Service (SaaS) Tool for the Department of Commerce. The Project Manager will oversee all aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, resourceful, and has a proven track record as a successful Project Manager. Qualified applicants will be subject to a background investigation and must meet minimum qualifications to access classified information. Responsibilities : The Project Manager will be responsible for the following:
- Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and maintain a detailed project plan, including scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
- Manage project risks and issues and develop mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate and manage the activities of the project team, including the Subcontractor.
- Ensure that all project deliverables are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of the stakeholders.
- Communication and Reporting:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the COR, CO, TPOC, and other stakeholders.
- Conduct a Kickoff Meeting with the COR/Contracting Officer and Contractor within 7 business days following the task award date.
- Provide Monthly Progress Reports to the TPOC or Designee by the 15th of every month.
- Conduct quarterly Technical Meetings/Reports with the COR, TPOC, or Designee.
- Provide quarterly Progress and Performance reports to the CO/COR.
- Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including providing timely updates and addressing any concerns.
- Contract Management:
- Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with the terms and conditions of the contract.
- Manage contract changes and modifications.
- Ensure that all contract deliverables are accepted by the Government.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience managing software development projects.
- Experience working with federal government agencies, particularly the Department of Commerce, is highly desirable.
- Experience with Section 508 compliance requirements.
- Experience with SaaS projects is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project or similar project management software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
