Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is currently seeking a Respiratory Therapist Applicant to join their team in Norfolk, VA! This will be a full time, third shift role, 7P-7A.
Required Qualifications:
- Candidate must be enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Therapy program
- Candidate must be within 2 semesters of graduating

The Respiratory Therapist develops, implements and evaluates plans of care for specific patient populations. Coordinates and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to facilitate integrated and comprehensive care. Possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. Associates or Bachelor's degree required and must submit final transcript at time of hire. BLS required within 90 days of hire. This Respiratory Therapist, License Applicant role is limited to the period directly after graduation from an accredited respiratory therapy education program; per Virginia Board of Medicine, a person who recently graduated may practice as RT-Applicant until they receive a failing score on any examination required by the Board for licensure or six months from the date of graduation, whichever occurs sooner.- Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI
