• Summary: A leading long-term care pharmacy organization is opening a brand-new site in Virginia and seeking a Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) to lead it. Youll oversee startup operations, guide a team of 40+, and ensure full regulatory, operational, and clinical readiness. You must hold an active Virginia Pharmacist License to be considered due to immediate launch timelines.

• Job Type: Direct Hire

• Location: Charlottesville, VA area

• Schedule: Full-time | 24/7 pharmacy operation (1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts)

• Start Date: Within 23 weeks

• Oversee all operations at a newly launched long-term care pharmacy

• Lead a growing team of 9 pharmacists, 30 technicians, and administrative support

• Ensure pliance with VA Board of Pharmacy regulations , DEA, state, and federal rules

• Implement quality assurance programs and pharmacy SOPs

• Remain visible and engaged this is a hands-on leadership role

• Assist with staffing, workflow management, and operational oversight as needed

• Foster a culture of teamwork, munication, and high productivity

• Operate within Frameworks/DocuTrack systems

• 5+ years of long-term care pharmacy experience (required)

• Prior leadership or operational management experience in LTC preferred

• Strong knowledge of VA pharmacy law and regulatory procedures

• Exceptional munication, team-building, and accountability mindset

• Hands-on leadership styleready to roll up your sleeves when needed

• Proficient with Frameworks, DocuTrack, and Microsoft Office Suite

• Demonstrates both operational rigor and clinical judgment

• Active Virginia Pharmacist License (must be in hand at time of application)

• BSPharm or PharmD

• Strong operations experience, preferably from LTC pharmacy startup or multi-site environments

• Clear understanding of QA programs, medication workflow, and regulatory documentation
