As a Part-Time Licensed Therapist in Crisis Stabilization at the Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, you'll play a vital role in our Crisis Services, which encompass emergency counseling, respite, intervention, and short-stay stabilization. You will manage a caseload of clients living with mental illness and substance-related disorders, collaborating with the agency's Crisis Continuum, Clinical Services, and other Region-V CSBs. Utilizing a multidisciplinary approach, you will conduct rapid assessments, evaluations, and crisis interventions while monitoring psychiatric and medical needs.

Your expertise will be instrumental in providing individual and group therapy, psychoeducational services, and active coordination for care and stabilization. You will create tailored treatment plans that address the specific therapeutic needs of clients, ensuring effective follow-up and aftercare. To thrive as a Part-Time Licensed Therapist in Crisis Stabilization at Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board, candidates must possess a master's degree in human services and a minimum of two years of post-graduate clinical experience. As a licensed Mental Health Clinician-whether as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT-you'll be equipped to deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge and skills required for the position are:

• Master's degree in human services and a minimum of two (2) years post-graduate clinical experience, including therapeutic counseling, crisis intervention, and case management functions.
• Licensed as a Mental Health Clinician, such as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP).
• Must be eligible or approved for MCO credentialing.
