Facilities Manager
Kforce has a client in Richmond, VA that is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to oversee daily operations at a busy corporate site. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the facility runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently while providing a high level of service to internal stakeholders. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is highly responsive, and takes ownership of issues from start to finish. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day facility operations, including maintenance, repairs, and site services
- Manage and coordinate vendors, contractors, and building engineers
- Lead and support on-site staff, ensuring strong team performance and accountability
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and building regulations
- Manage facility budgets, track expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities
- Oversee services such as security, cleaning, and general site operations
- Respond quickly to facility-related issues and ensure timely resolution
- Conduct regular facility inspections and proactively address maintenance needs
- Experience managing facilities operations in a corporate or high-traffic environment
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams and external vendors
- Excellent communication skills and a strong customer service mindset
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced, high-demand setting
- Hands-on approach with a -figure it out- mentality when issues arise
- Experience with budgeting, vendor management, and operational oversight
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Facilities-related certifications (CFM, FMP, etc.)
- Experience with facility management systems
