PTO - Fed Holidays - Paid Vacation - We are a small, client-focused law firm serving Hampton Roads and surrounding communities looking for a Family Law and Criminal Law paralegal. Our practice emphasizes personal service, strong client communication, and practical legal solutions. While our firm handles a variety of legal matters, our primary focus includes family and domestic relations cases, including divorce, custody, visitation, support, and related litigation, criminal defense and DUI.

What You'll Do

• Assist attorneys with divorce, custody, support, and other family law matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and discovery documents
• Maintain case files and litigation calendars
• Communicate regularly with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and experts
• Prepare trial notebooks, exhibits, and hearing materials
• Manage case deadlines and ensure files are organized and up to date
• Provide compassionate and professional support to clients during difficult times

Required Qualifications

• Prior divorce and family law experience is required
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems
• Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail

Schedule

• Monday through Thursday: 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
• Full-time position
