As a travel Registered Nurse First Assist specializing in the Operating Room, youll gain invaluable exposure to diverse surgical proceduresincluding robotics, orthopedics, general surgery, GYN, urology, and vascular specialties. Schedule:

• 36 hours per week (12-hour shifts: 11am11pm)
• Overnight call two shifts per week plus weekend call averaging two shifts

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Minimum of 2 years surgical assistant experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience preferred
• Da Vinci Robot experience required
• Licensure: Current RN license (Virginia or compact), BLS, RNFA required; ACLS, CNOR, CRNFA preferred
• No local candidates (must reside outside 50-mile radius)
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage high-stress, fast-paced environments

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide first assist duties and circulate in the OR for a variety of procedures
• Perform comprehensive assessments before, during, and after surgery
• Support the surgical team by anticipating needs, prepping, and maintaining a sterile environment
• Collaborate across interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care and safety
• Deliver patient education and post-op instructions
• Participate in ongoing quality improvement initiatives
