Seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist with specialized NICU experience to support patient care in a 140-bed acute care setting. This contract opportunity requires at least 2 years of general respiratory therapy expertise and a minimum skill level of 3 in NICU care, emphasizing advanced procedures such as CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and ventilation management using the Hamilton C1 ventilator.

Location Overview:Based in Stafford, VA, this assignment serves a vibrant regional medical center known for comprehensive respiratory services and advanced technologies, including the Hamilton C1, V60, and Hamilton MR1 ventilators. The hospital utilizes the Meditech documentation system and offers a collaborative work environment supported by unit secretaries and tech staff.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expert respiratory care to adult and NICU patients using advanced respiratory equipment.
• Perform respiratory procedures with precision, including ventilation management on neonatal patients.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Meditech electronic documentation.
• Adhere to unit policies and dress code, wearing all-black scrubs.
• Work a consistent schedule of three 12-hour shifts per week, including every other weekend.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• Minimum 2 years of general respiratory therapy experience.
• Mandatory NICU experience with a skill level of 3 or higher.
• Proficiency with CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and Hamilton C1 ventilator.
• Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NRP preferred or ability to obtain after hire.
