Active VA or Compact RN license and recent Med Surg Oncology experience required.

• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Weekend Requirement: 2–3 weekends per month

Required Qualifications (Oncology Nurse / Travel RN)

• Active Virginia RN license or Compact State RN license required at start
• Minimum 2 years recent clinical experience in Med Surg Oncology or closely related specialty
• Prior travel nursing experience required (travel RN, travel nurse)
• BLS (AHA) required; ACLS preferred
• Experience with Cerner EMR preferred
• Ability to explain any employment gaps over 90 days
• Skills checklist and Nursys/license copy required with application
• All requested time off must be submitted with application
• Chemotherapy certification not required for this oncology assignment

Key Responsibilities (Oncology RN Duties)

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to oncology patients in a Med Surg setting
• Perform charge nurse responsibilities as needed (training and pay differential provided)
• Float to other hospital units as required to support clinical operations
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Accurately document patient care and interventions using Cerner EMR
• Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training for professional development
• Work scheduled 12-hour night shifts and meet weekend coverage requirements
