Radiochemistry Data Specialist
-Organize raw instrument data and bench notes

-Collaborate with radiochemists and lab technicians to ensure accurate data collection and processing.
-Perform radiochemistry data reduction (e.g. gamma spectroscopy, gross alpha/beta, liquid scintillation, alpha spectroscopy) using Excel based spreadsheets and other programs.
-Maintain and update quality control charts.
-Prepare technical reports and summaries for internal and external customers.
-Support laboratory audits and inspections.
Required Qualifications:style="margin-bottom:0.0in;margin-top:0.0px"-
-A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in chemistry or a related science is required.

-A minimum of six (6) years of experience in radiochemistry is required.
-Must have strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to adapt to the demands of a specialty lab setting.

-Must be proficient in radiochemistry techniques, data reduction/quality assurance, and report preparation.

-Must be able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
-Must have good organizational skills and attention to detail.
-Must be proficient using Microsoft office programs, particularly Excel and Word.
-Must be a U.S. citizen with no dual citizenship.
-Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Energy security clearance.

Pay: $76,000.00 - $116,000.00The base salary range for this position in Virginia (US-VA) at the start of employment is expected to be between $76,000.00 and $116,000.00 per year. However, the base salary offered is based on local job market factors, and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to these considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as an annual cash incentive in addition to a full range of medical, retirement, and/or other benefits. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided at such time the selected job candidate receives an offer of employment. If hired, the selected job candidate will be employed 'at-will,’ unless employed at a location and in a position subject to a collective bargaining agreement.
