An opportunity is available for a Clinical Pharmacist specializing in outpatient infusion services at a Cancer Center in Fredericksburg, VA. This role supports infusion therapy operations in a busy center with 44 infusion chairs. The contract-to-hire position offers a professional environment without on-call or weekend coverage requirements, making it ideal for pharmacists seeking a focused weekday schedule.

Location:
Fredericksburg, VA

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Hours: 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• Pharmacy operational hours: 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy services supporting outpatient infusion therapies including chemotherapy
• Collaborate closely with outpatient pharmacy staff, including 2-3 pharmacists and 3 technicians
• Utilize electronic health record systems (EPIC) and automated medication dispensing systems (Pyxis) to dispense and verify medications accurately
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards in the preparation and administration of infusion medications
• Monitor patient outcomes and participate in multidisciplinary care teams

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Virginia (VA Pharmacist License)
• Experience in outpatient infusion, hospital pharmacy, or oncology chemotherapy is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC and Pyxis systems is advantageous
