Maintenance Supervisor (Facilities)
Supervisor, maintenance is responsible for leading a team of non-exempt maintenance technicians ensuring optimal safety and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include planning, organizing, directing, controlling, and supervising daily activities of an assigned shift to achieve minimal production down-time while meeting performance goals and metrics. The supervisor will collaborate with all levels of organization, prioritizing the required maintenance tasks, troubleshooting equipment issues and implementing improvements enhancing facilities and equipment reliability. The role includes maintaining accurate maintenance records, training staff, and coordinating with vendors or contractors for specialized repairs or upgrades.

Responsibilities
- Analyze and manage daily schedules and assigned work orders/maintenance tasks in CMMS.
- Oversee CMMS preventative maintenance program for production equipment including life cycle analysis, monitoring, repair, and reporting/record keeping.
- Ensure employees are adequately trained in safety protocols, technical skills and departmental functions.
- Maintain and report key performance indicators (KPI’s)
- Compile and analyze operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for newly designed or modified equipment.
- Maintain OSHA regulatory compliance within federal, state and local laws.
- Regularly coach and follow-up with employees ensuring performance meets department and company standards/expectations.
- Maintain CMMS system including all new and existing equipment, detailed records, equipment repairs, and performance.
- Collaborate with production supervisors to align maintenance activities with production goals.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance equipment efficiency and longevity.
Competencies
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial technology, or a related field with 3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience or the equivalent combination of experience and education. 1–2 years in a supervisory role; strong expertise in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems preferred.
Supervisory Duties:
- Directly supervise 10-15 maintenance technicians.
- Responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of the maintenance team.
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with organization’s policies and applicable laws.
- Interviewing, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Occasional overnight/extended travel, national and international as required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and passport.
