Telemetry RN Job Details – Rockingham, VA
- Job Title: Travel Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN)
- Location: Rockingham, VA 22801 (Virginia nursing jobs)
- Healthcare Setting: Surgery Unit 1
- Assignment Length: 9 weeks (August 10, 2025 – October 12, 2025)
- Shift: 12-hour night shifts
- Hours per Week: 36
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1770 - $1820 per week
- Employment Type: Travel nursing contract
- Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license (Virginia or compact state)
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Telemetry, Stepdown, or acute care nursing
- BLS certification (American Heart Association preferred)
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced surgical unit environment
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs for post-surgical and medical patients
- Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans
- Provide patient education and support to patients and their families
- Document patient care accurately and promptly in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and initiate appropriate nursing interventions
