Job Title: Two's Teacher (Nature-Based Preschool)

Position Type: Full-Time (Approx. 40 hours/week)
Age Group: 2.5 – 3.5 years old
Class Size: Up to 8 children

Position Overview

We are seeking a nurturing, dependable, and enthusiastic Two's Teacher to join our nature-based preschool program. This role focuses on guiding young children through early developmental milestones using outdoor exploration, play-based learning, and a child-centered approach. The ideal candidate is passionate about early childhood education and committed to fostering curiosity, independence, and a love for nature.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based curriculum rooted in nature and outdoor exploration
• Lead a small class of up to 8 children in daily routines, including outdoor activities, circle time, meals, and rest periods
• Foster a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment that encourages social-emotional growth
• Support children in developing independence, communication skills, and positive peer interactions
• Maintain consistent supervision and ensure the health and safety of all children at all times
• Maintain classroom organization, cleanliness, and materials
• Collaborate with other staff to support the overall program and community

Qualifications

• Experience working with toddlers (ages 2–3), preferably in a preschool or childcare setting
• Strong understanding of early childhood development
• Comfort and enthusiasm for spending extended time outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Patient, flexible, and responsive to the needs of young children
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)

Physical Requirements

• Willingness to work outdoors daily in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to supervise children in an outdoor, nature-based setting
