General Maintenance Technician

In this critical role, you’ll tackle essential facility upkeep, troubleshoot building systems, and ensure a safe, efficient workspace. salary: $47,100 - $58,240 per year
shift: Third
work hours: 6 PM - 2 AM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

• Perform regular preventive maintenance and quick repairs on building systems like HVAC, plumbing, and lighting to keep the plant running smoothly.

• Troubleshoot and fix general facility equipment including air compressors, dock doors, and basic conveyor systems.

• Conduct routine inspections of the physical building to repair drywall, flooring, doors, and other structural elements.

• Adhere strictly to safety standards like Lockout/Tagout and handle emergency repairs to keep the production floor hazard-free.

• Monitor and maintain critical safety equipment including fire extinguishers, eyewash stations, and emergency exit paths.

• Manage facility waste disposal and maintain the outdoor grounds to ensure compliance with local environmental regulations.

• Log all completed work orders in the maintenance database and coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs.

The essential functions of this role include:
