KBR is seeking a Systems Engineer (digital Engineering Engagement) to join our team on site in Chantilly, VA. A current/active TS/SCI with poly is required for consideration. Why Join Us? This effort is in direct support of a US Space Industry Prime Partner in the Chantilly, VA area. Key Responsibilities:
- Apprentice to experienced Engagement Specialists, and perform tasks under the supervision of Digital Engineering SMEs.
- Work to increase engagement across the Enterprise and with other agencies to enable systems engineering modernization.
- Under supervision, deliver foundational digital engineering (DE) approaches that ensure the engineering and MS&A processes are met.
- Assist technical teams and leadership in the implementation of MBSE methods and techniques.
- Assist in developing and supporting enterprise level digital engineering approaches, ensuring that models, data, and information are accessible, interconnected, and structured to support organizational goals.
- Ensure that systems engineering and MS&A processes covered in the SOW requirements are followed.
- Support the federated modeling approach across the enterprise and mission partners.
- Adhere to the MBSE modeling methodology guidelines and principles established by the team.
- Ability to communicate modeling concepts and best practices to stakeholders at varying levels.

- Must possess a current/active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and 0 years of experience.
- Foundational understanding of systems engineering principles and familiarity with Digital Engineering (DE)/Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
- Basic understanding of data concepts and technologies such as relational databases, ontology, Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) or Systems Modeling Language (SysML).
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with teammates and stakeholders.
- Masters degree in Systems Engineering or relative field.
- Exposure to MBSE tools or coursework (e.g., SysML) is desired
- General awareness of digital industry trends such as Cloud/IaC, Data Analytics, DevSecOps, AWS and/or Azure, Containerization/micro-services
- Basic knowledge or academic exposure to satellite or space-based technologies
- Familiarity with Operations Research/Systems Analysis concepts
- Introductory knowledge of Digital Thread or Digital Twin concepts
- Willingness to learn and grow within systems engineering disciplines
