Thank you for your interest in Technical Assent. If you looked through our job board and didn't see your dream job, we encourage you to submit your application here. Our recruiting team reviews all applications and will reach out proactively when we find a match. Overview

Technical Assent is passionate about services in government, business, and not-for-profit. We design exceptional service experiences, engineer them to be robust, and deliver real capability and business outcomes for our clients. You will be working on government programs that have strategic importance to our clients. Your team will work IN and ON the client's core mission-helping them deliver their services day-to-day while simultaneously looking for opportunities to improve. Our work is Driven by Evidence, Grounded in Understanding, and Focused on Impact.

Our consultants combine the creative and pragmatic to deliver the results that matter most to our clients. We see beauty when art and science come together. We seek self-starters, people who are confident in tackling challenges independently and bringing this to high-performing teams. We continually seek feedback from our customers and employees, looking for opportunities to grow. As a small company, our employees have an essential voice in shaping our culture. You help grow our culture and, in turn, grow from the experience.

As a Consultant supporting our Federal government client specifically the Department of War (Department of Defense), you will work as part of an innovative team to research, prepare, and deliver high-quality solutions. You will be trusted to complete tasks independently, begin leading others in completing tasks, and contribute to the overall team effort to solve challenging problems for the benefit of our customers. The issues to be resolved are often difficult to define and quantify; may involve complex, traditionally competing interests; are often characterized by senior leadership interest and visibility and require extensive proving and analysis.

The successful candidate will have the ability to:
  • Work in a team environment to research, analyze, prepare, and deliver high quality, on-time deliverables to clients
  • Earn client trust through completion of tasks and deliverables that support client outcomes and decision-making, including research, report development, and delivery of recommendations in certain cases
  • Understand and write functional requirements, map processes, briefings, and job aids
  • Execute administrative and office management tasks as needed to progress client objectives, such as creating staffing packages or managing coordination of draft documents with large stakeholder groups
  • Independently manage time to complete assigned tasks and contribute to team effort.
  • Take advantage of learning opportunities beyond specialty
  • Develop general knowledge, skills, and abilities within project Capability Areas
  • Learn to participate in Technical Assent's consulting approaches and methods
  • Contribute to organizational capability by building reusable process assets, templates, and tools that improve the consistency of our services
  • Support business development by playing an active role in researching customer needs, competitive environment, and actively supporting proposal efforts
  • Maintain professional demeanor that is consistent with Technical Assent core values at all times
Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years of relevant, professional experience
  • Curious, problem solving, and open-minded approach to work; we are looking for someone who has a base of knowledge but wants to investigate and learn new things
  • Experience applying extensive technical expertise, spanning a range of procurement and/or logistical disciplines, in the development of unique and innovative solutions to challenging problems
  • Experience analyzing existing and anticipated customer and/or mission requirements, and providing solutions that result in an integrated approach to program execution
  • Experience formulating and executing communications strategies in large organizations to foster engagement from executive leaders and user communities: for example, preparing for meetings, developing presentations, designing basic surveys
  • Experience or training in developing and implementing roadmaps to support strategic capability development for complex organizations: how do we identify the problem to be solved, design a solution, and work with stakeholders to implement?
  • Ability to obtain and maintain an active TOP SECRET security clearance
  • Thrive in a continuous Build-Measure-Learn cycle
  • Engage with technology—with comfort and ease (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams, Monday, Slack, etc.)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Direct experience working with Defense procurement processes, data, or systems
  • Direct experience working with Defense logistics processes, data, or systems
  • Direct experience working with Defense operational processes, data, or systems
  • Active SECRET or TOP SECRET security clearance
  • Experience consulting or working for the Department of War / Department of Defense
