Cloud Solutions Architect

RMC is hiring for a Part-Time Cloud Solutions Architect who will be responsible for designing, planning and managing cloud-based infrastructure and services within a large-scale DoD environment at NSWC Dahlgren. This role is both technical and strategic, serving as a bridge between environment needs and technical implementation.

Requirements

The selected applicant will possess the following qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience with design and implementation of scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architecture (IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS).
• 3-5 years of experience translating business and technical requirements into cloud architecture and design
• 5 years of experience with deep knowledge and hands-on experience in Azure Government Cloud
• 5 years of demonstrated knowledge of DoD Secure Cloud Computing Architecture (SCCA) and implementation of SCCA-compliant Landing Zones in Azure Government Cloud, ensuring alignment with DISA STIGs and DoD Cloud SRG guidelines.
• Ability to lead or support cloud migration projects (e.g., rehosting, replatforming, refactoring)
• Ability to assess existing applications and workloads for cloud readiness
• Ability to develop migration roadmaps and timeline

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

• High School Diploma or GED

CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENT:

• The selected applicant must have DoD 8570/5239 IAT Level II Certification (Security + CE, etc.).
• The selected applicant must obtain Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert within 60 days of start.

CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:

• A DoD INTERIM SECRET security clearance is required to start .
• Applicant must have the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance
• Applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $120,000 to $180,000.00 annually.
