Accounting and Internal Controls Specialist Leader

• Responsible for quality reviews and identifying high level risks
• Assist with implementation elements including technical policy, internal controls, process enhancement, technology, and data abstraction
• Develop policy manuals/memos, process flows, user requirements, and internal controls over reporting
• Display both breadth and depth of knowledge regarding functional and technical issues
• Provide counseling/coaching, leadership and support for delivery teams and staff
• Actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities providing input and guidance into the staffing process
• Organize and deliver services on a cross-section of complex projects
• Contribute to the development of business and vendor relationships
• Support pre-sales, RFPs, and proposals
• Manage senior-level client relationships
• Serve as a "Subject Matter Expert", adding experienced insights into client challenges
• Manage solutions, delegate resources, and ensure the quality assurance principles are met across projects and deliverables
• Present and sell ideas to various client audiences, both technical and non-technical

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or another Business-related field required
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
• Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
• Experience mentoring and coaching others
• Proven track record of consistently attaining managed revenue targets as well as achieving quarterly or yearly sales objectives for new business
• Proven leadership skills demonstrating strong judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
• Experience managing senior-level client relationships
• 10 years of experience presenting to clients or other decision makers to present and sell ideas to various audiences (technical and non-technical)
• Pre-sales, proposal, and RFP experience
• Ability to travel 50%, on average, based on work you do and the clients and the industries/sectors you serve
• 8 years of experience improving internal control objectives or government accounting and transaction processes
• Knowledge of Financial Improvement and Audit Remediation (FIAR), Sarbanes-Oxley Section 404 or OMB Circular A-123 documentation testing and reporting requirements
• Consulting experience in any of the following areas: business process improvement, financial management policies and procedures, financial system integrations, etc.

Preferred:

• GASB 87 lease standard implementation experience
• Familiarity with U.S. government financial accounting systems
• Certifications including CPA, CDFM, CGFM, CFA, CIA
