Telemetry RN Job Details

• Location: Norfolk, VA 23507 (Virginia healthcare jobs)
• Setting: Hospital – Telemetry Unit
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens (Travel RN Contract)
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 6, 2025
• Duration: 13-week nursing contract
• Shift: 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM start)
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Patient Ratios: 1:6-7
• Floating: May float between 5K and 6K units

Registered Nurse Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia
• At least 1 year of recent acute care RN experience
• Proven telemetry nursing experience
• Ability to work night shifts and float between hospital units
• Strong clinical judgment and effective communication skills
• SBAR/Approval documentation required

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans for telemetry patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare team members
• Administer medications and prescribed treatments
• Educate patients and families on health management and post-discharge care
• Delegate tasks to unlicensed personnel according to Board regulations
• Maintain accurate documentation and uphold hospital standards
