This temp-to-perm role is critical for improving order fulfillment efficiency and reducing customer escalations related to the Syracuse product line. Key Responsibilities

As the Management and Materials Coordinator, you will work closely with the Operations Manager, Supervisors, and Line Servers to coordinate processes and drive continuous improvement. Your primary goals will be to reduce the age of open orders, decrease past-due shipments, and minimize customer escalations.

• Order and Customer Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact between Syracuse planning and customer service for Syracuse products.
• • Manage and coordinate responses to escalations, cancellations, and status updates.
  • Identify assembly efficiencies by batching like products for reduced interruption.
  • Prioritize assembly benches based on material and delivery needs.
• Material and Inventory Management: Communicate material issues back to the Syracuse planning team to ensure timely resolution.
• • Report missing material, quality issues, and inventory discrepancies (potentially performing cycle counts/adjustments).
  • Identify Bill of Material (BOM) issues (e.g., items not backflushing) and engage planners/sustaining engineering for corrective action.
• Operational Excellence: Participate in Gemba walks, focusing on metrics related to the Syracuse product line, such as "Open Dollars on the floor."

Requirements

• Education: Minimum of a 2-year Associate's Degree.

Desired Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

• Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential for coordinating between multiple teams (planning, customer service, and operations).
• Technical Proficiency:

  • Working knowledge of an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, preferably SAP .
