About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven U.S. Air Force Business Developer to strengthen and expand Harmattan AI’s presence within the Air Force market.
This role will lead capture, customer engagement, and strategic growth within USAF commands, PEOs, and innovation units. You’ll translate operational needs into actionable business opportunities, working closely with product and engineering teams to align solutions with Air Force missions.
It’s a unique opportunity to build a domain from the ground up and shape Harmattan AI’s role in the modernization of U.S. airpower.
Responsibilities
1. Strategic Growth & Business Development
Identify, qualify, and pursue new Air Force business opportunities.
Build and manage a robust opportunity pipeline with clear revenue and growth objectives.
Develop and execute capture strategies aligned with Air Force priorities and budgets.
2. Sales & Client Engagement
Engage decision-makers across PEOs, innovation units, and operational commands.
Deliver high-impact demonstrations and briefings of Harmattan AI’s solutions.
Collaborate with internal teams to shape proposals, refine capabilities, and ensure customer alignment.
3. Stakeholder & Government Relations
Represent Harmattan AI at Air Force events, industry days, and conferences.
Build relationships with operators, acquisition officers, and key influencers in the Air Force ecosystem.
Provide market intelligence and reporting to support corporate growth strategy.
Candidate Requirements
Experience: 3+ years in business development or defense sales within the U.S. market.
Background: Prior experience working with or selling to the U.S. Air Force.
Technical Understanding: Familiarity with aerospace, ISR, autonomy, and defense AI technologies.
Sales Skills: Proven track record in complex deal navigation and capture within DoD procurement.
Strategic Acumen: Knowledge of Air Force contracting, innovation offices (AFWERX, DIU, AFLCMC), and acquisition cycles.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, able to engage senior stakeholders and technical audiences alike.
Mindset: Entrepreneurial, disciplined, and driven by mission impact and tangible results.
