Bid Role - Cyber Security Engineer (starts in 8-10 weeks) - TS/SCI w/ Poly

The Contractor team shall provide systems engineering, custom application development, database administration and operations and maintenance (O&M) for the Sponsor system in support of the full system lifecycle. The Contractor shall provide support for deployment packaging, system maintenance and troubleshooting for software and virtual infrastructure (cloud) components to maintain sustainability and reliability of the Sponsor’s system.

Cyber Security

a. Investigate virus, malware alerts, and incidents to determine root cause, entry point of code, damage risk, and report this information immediately to the Sponsor.

b. Investigate and analyze all data sources, to include Internet, Sponsor Community reporting, security events, firewall logs, forensic hard-drive images, and other data sources to identify malware, misuse, unauthorized activity or other cyber security related concerns and report this immediately to the Sponsor.

c. Monitor, document, and respond to centrally collected virus alerts and immediately notify Sponsor.

d. Participate in project review meetings and provide technical cyber security guidance.

e. Conduct tier-3 support of infrastructure.

f. Design, test, and integrate new security products as directed by GTM.

g. Ensure all network defense capabilities are kept current, patched, and securely configured and management informed of status.

Required Skills:

a. Demonstrated experience translating detailed design into computer software.

b. Demonstrated experience developing and conducting software compatibility tests with programs, hardware, operating systems, or network environments.

c. Demonstrated experience ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

d. Demonstrated experience preparing documentation such as program-level, user-level, and security documentation.

e. Demonstrated experience performing as an Agile Scrum Master.

f. Demonstrated experience translating database requirements into end-to-end design for databases that may involve multiple interfaces to other database systems.

g. Demonstrated experience designing, developing, implementing and maintaining database structures.

h. Demonstrated experience designing interactive web databases and web services; and user interfaces.

i. Demonstrated experience developing security procedures to protect databases from unauthorized usage.

j. Demonstrated experience developing, testing, and implementing complex functions, scripts, stored procedures and triggers to support application development.

k. Demonstrated experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and MS Azure cloud technologies.

l. Demonstrated experience with Jenkins, Github, Docker, and orchestration tools such as Ansible, CloudFormation, or Terraform.

m. Demonstrated experience with Linux administration and scripting languages including Bash and Python.

n. Demonstrated experience with full ELK stack such as ElasticSearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Filebeat.

o. Demonstrated experience with JavaScript/HTML/CSS web user interfaces.

p. Demonstrated experience with web UI frameworks, such as React and/or Extended JavaScript (ExtJS).
