Position Description
CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Specialist within our Intel sector advancing the national security mission through cutting edge technology. The Procurement Specialist identifies organizational needs, researches and selects vendors, negotiates contracts for products and services, and manages supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance. Key responsibilities include conducting market tenders, analyzing bids, and monitoring supplier performance to achieve strategic goals and maintain a competitive edge for the company.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Supplier Management: Researching, evaluating, and selecting suppliers to meet quality, cost, and compliance standards.
• Contract Negotiation: Securing favorable pricing, terms, and conditions through contract negotiations with suppliers.
• Cost Analysis: Analyzing market trends and costs to ensure purchases are made at the best possible value.
• Bid Evaluation: Assessing vendor bids and proposals to determine suppliers that meet budget and performance criteria.
• Compliance: Ensuring all procurement activities adhere to company policies, legal regulations, and industry standards.
• Inventory Control: Overseeing the inventory of materials and goods to ensure availability and manage stock levels.
• Performance Monitoring: Tracking supplier performance to ensure they meet contractual obligations, delivery schedules, and quality specifications.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree and/or 0 to 2 years of experience
• Security Clearance: Secret
• Negotiation and Communication Skills: Strong ability to negotiate contracts and communicate effectively with suppliers and internal teams.
• Analytical Skills: Proficiency in data analysis to make informed, cost-effective purchasing decisions and identify trends.
• Knowledge of Procurement Principles: Understanding of procurement methods, supply chain principles, and vendor compliance standards.
• Attention to Detail: Meticulousness in reviewing documents, contracts, and invoices to ensure accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
• Technology Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement software and systems used for managing purchase orders and supplier relationships.
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $100,000.00 - $200000.00.
