Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Clamp Truck Operator to join our team at a large indoor/outdoor warehouse complex. The role involves handling large boxes and barrels of bulk tobacco for a leading tobacco company, with responsibilities in inventory management and warehouse upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Operate a clamp truck to handle large boxes and barrels of bulk tobacco.
• Stack and wrap containers of tobacco efficiently and securely.
• Load and unload tractor trailers with containers of tobacco.
• Maintain accurate inventory records, including locations and quantity of products.
• Ensure cleanliness and sanitation of the warehouse using brooms, blowers, and 'sweeper' forklifts.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in material handling.
• Experience operating RF scanners and forklifts.
• Capability to operate clamp trucks, reach trucks, and both stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
• General labor skills, including loading and unloading trucks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Coachable and eager to learn.
• Punctuality and reliability in attendance.

Work Environment

Work in a vast warehouse complex consisting of 52 warehouses spread over 90 acres. The environment includes both indoor and outdoor areas that are non-climate controlled. The work schedule is from 7 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
