Medical Assistant
JOB SUMMARY
The Medical Assistant supports medical providers by performing a combination of clinical and administrative duties in accordance with established policies and procedures. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, assisting with clinical procedures, managing laboratory tasks, and supporting front office operations to ensure efficient patient care and workflow.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepare patients for examinations by reviewing medical history, documenting symptoms, and updating medications

Record vital signs

Assist providers with exams and procedures

Administer medications and injections

Perform phlebotomy
-
Collect and prepare laboratory specimens, including pathology, urine, fecal, and blood samples

Stock exam rooms with required supplies

Clean and sterilize medical instruments and equipment

Maintain a safe and compliant work environment following clinical standards and regulations

Answer phones, schedule appointments, take messages, and provide basic information

Triage, review, and route test results
QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma required
-
Bachelors degree or equivalent healthcare training preferred

Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred but not required
