Mason's Famous Lobster Rolls is looking for an energetic, dependable, and customer-focused Shift Lead to oversee restaurant operations during assigned shifts. As a Shift Lead, you will lead by example, coach team members, ensure exceptional guest service, and maintain the highest standards of food quality, cleanliness, and operational excellence. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys leading people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is looking for long-term career growth.

In addition to working in our restaurant, Shift Leads must be willing to support off-site catering events, community events, festivals, and pop-up locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations during assigned shifts.
• Open and/or close the restaurant following company procedures.
• Coach, motivate, and develop Team Associates.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and resolve guest concerns professionally.
• Ensure food is prepared accurately, safely, and according to Mason's standards.
• Maintain cleanliness, food safety, and health department compliance.
• Handle cash, POS transactions, deposits, and shift paperwork.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering and receiving deliveries.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and training of new employees.
• Ensure labor, productivity, and quality standards are met.
• Represent Mason's at off-site catering events, festivals, and pop-up locations.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or retail environment preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be available to work both in-store and at off-site pop-up or catering events.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Must successfully pass a criminal background check.
• ServSafe Food Handler or Manager Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
