ASSISTANT CFO | St. Mary's Hospital (Richmond Market) This position reports to the Market CFO and provides financial support to designated sites by working with the corporate office, management, staff, and other key leaders to ensure that the site and associated entities are operating effectively, with sound financial analysis, and appropriate financial and operating controls. Essential Job Functions With the Site CEO: ~ Provides financial leadership to the acute care facility, including: Guiding the annual budget process, Interpreting financial results with operating managers, Periodic financial forecasts and Development of info needed to support performance improvement initiatives. Participates as a member of the site executive management team, establishing plans and accountability measures to facilitate the team meeting operating targets. Monitors financial activities and established objectives and recommends appropriate changes when required. With the Department Managers: Liaison and facilitator within the acute facility for all things finance. Education of dept managers on budgets, monthly reports, etc. Regularly meets with department manager to track and ensure performance on site-specific financial initiatives. Follows up on aberrations to expected financial perf (labor metrics, budget, etc.) Supports business analysis for new projects. With the Finance Department: Acts as a liaison and facilitator between the acute facility and centralized finance function. Actively participates in the financial planning process and analysis of business initiatives. Assists in month-end close to ensure that info is provided timely. Assists in compilation of information for annual tax filings. Assists in compilation of information for cost report filings.
