Sentara CarePlex Hospital is currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse for the Step Down Unit/Intermediate Care Unit.
Shift: Days

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 36

Hours: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM
Weekend: Rotating
License and Certification
Virginia or Compact Multi-State License in good standing
Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
Education
RN-Associate's Degree, or
RN-Bachelor's Degree, or
RN-Diploma, or
RN-Master's Degree

This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients. Department Overview
This is a 24-bedunit where we care for patients with a variety of healthcare needs. We are the designated Stroke Unit. We provide for respiratory compromised patients on Bipap, high-flo and/or chronic long term vents. We manipulate and titrate vasoactive infusionsand have bedside monitors. We provide care for patients with DKA, CHF, Pneumonia, and much more.

Sentara CarePlex Hospit a l , located in Hampton, VA, is a 224-bed technologically advanced, acute care facility, and Certified Primary Stroke Center. Other features include specialized services in heart and vascular, urologic care, along with advanced diagnostic and surgical capabilities, a hospitalist program, and one of the state's busiest emergency departments.
