Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC Must-Have Skills/Experience: Patient assessment and identifying patient needs. Identifying and initiating appropriate nursing interventions. Providing care appropriate to the condition and age of the patient. Performing timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record. Description: This is a 175-bed acute care facility with a commitment to quality of care. The emergency department has a total of 16 beds. Patient ratios are typically 5:1, but staff may be pulled to full bed capacity. Available equipment includes EKG, Ultrasound, LUCAS, EZ-IO, Omnicell, stretcher, and wheelchair. Electronic health records are maintained using MediTech. Supervision is provided by a designated supervisor. The patient population includes geriatric, adult, pediatric, and obstetric patients. Applicants must be proficient in patient assessment and intervention. Candidates should be prepared to work with a variety of diagnoses and treatments. Solid color scrubs are the required attire, with specific guidelines for acceptable clothing. All candidates must be willing to work every other weekend.
