Butterfly Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) and Caregivers to provide in-home and community-based support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

We proudly serve clients throughout Loudoun County, Fairfax County, and Arlington County, Virginia, while our administrative office is conveniently located in Sterling, VA.

Job Responsibilities

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will:

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities.

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal preparation.

• Support clients in achieving individualized goals outlined in their service plans.

• Accompany clients to community outings, recreational activities, appointments, and social events.

• Teach and reinforce independent living skills, communication skills, and community integration.

• Maintain a safe, positive, and supportive environment.

• Complete accurate daily documentation, progress notes, and required reports.

• Communicate effectively with families, supervisors, and interdisciplinary team members.

• Follow agency policies, procedures, and state regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.

• At least 18 years of age.

• Previous caregiving, DSP, home care, healthcare, or human services experience preferred but not required.

• Compassionate, patient, and reliable personality.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and follow care plans.

• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation preferred.

• Ability to pass criminal background checks and any state-required screenings.

• Authorized to work in the United States.

• CPR/First Aid certification preferred (or willingness to obtain).
