Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access activities with professionalism. - Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with supervisors, site contacts, and/or public sector personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, controlled areas, and perimeter points, helping to identify unusual activity, access concerns, and/or policy violations.
- Perform access control duties by verifying identification, monitoring entry and exit activity, screening visitors, and helping to support restricted area protocols in accordance with site requirements.
- Serve in an armed post by carrying authorized equipment and following all applicable post orders, use of force guidelines, reporting procedures, and Allied Universal standards.
Minimum Requirements:
- An armed guard card and/or license is required.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
