Life at Axon is fast-paced, challenging and meaningful. Here, you’ll take ownership and drive real change. Constantly grow as you work hard for a mission that matters at a company where you matter.

Your Impact

As a Senior Security Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping and advancing Dedrone’s corporate and product security posture. You will help harden system boundaries, anticipate emerging threats, and ensure security capabilities scale with the business. You will design, select, and implement advanced security tooling that enables teams to operate efficiently and securely.

You will act as a trusted security leader and advisor across the organization, driving best practices, mentoring less experienced engineers, and influencing security decisions across engineering, IT, and business teams.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as a technical owner and escalation point for security systems within your domain of responsibility
  • Lead the design, implementation, and ongoing health of corporate and product security systems
  • Drive security and IT certification efforts, such as ISO 27001, from a technical leadership perspective
  • Review and influence proposed systems, architectures, and services, providing guidance that goes beyond baseline security requirements
  • Proactively assess risk across projects and initiatives, prioritizing work and shepherding solutions through to completion
  • Partner cross-functionally to embed security into system design, development, and operational processes
  • Mentor and guide less experienced security team members, elevating the organization’s overall security maturity

What You Bring

  • 7+ years of professional experience in information security or related technical fields
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively about attack vectors and design effective, scalable mitigations
  • Proven success operating in fast-paced, high-impact environments with competing priorities and deadlines
  • Strong experience leading or meaningfully contributing to security certification and compliance initiatives
  • High degree of autonomy, ownership, and self-direction
  • Deep understanding of current and emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex security concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong passion for security, with active engagement in the security community
  • Experience building, evaluating, or researching security tools to mitigate vulnerabilities and automate repeatable workflows
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional efforts from problem identification through fully operationalized security solutions
  • Broad experience across multiple information security domains, including infrastructure, applications, and enterprise systems
  • Experience securing and managing operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), including endpoint protection, EDR, MDM, and related tooling
  • Strong knowledge of secure network architectures, including subnetting, DNS, encryption standards, VPNs, VLANs, routing, and web protocols
  • Experience operating and securing network and messaging systems such as intrusion prevention, network access control, and mail security platforms
  • Proficiency in scripting or automation languages such as Python, Ruby, or PowerShell
  • Experience with automated vulnerability scanning, security testing, and network penetration testing

  • Competitive salary and 401k with employer match
  • Discretionary paid time off
  • Paid parental leave for all
  • Medical, Dental, Vision plans
  • Fitness Programs
  • Emotional & Mental Wellness support
