Active Registered Respiratory Tech (RRT) license and 2+ years of in-patient hospital Respiratory Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with specialized NICU skills is needed for a contract position in a well-equipped medical center. This role requires at least two years of general respiratory therapy experience, including advanced NICU competencies such as CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, Bubble CPAP, and using Hamilton C1 ventilation systems.

Situated in Locust Grove, VA, this facility offers a supportive clinical environment with 140 beds and a focus on quality patient care. The Respiratory unit utilizes state-of-the-art equipment including Hamilton C1, V60, and Hamilton MR1 ventilators, alongside the Meditech documentation system. Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory care to adult and NICU patients, ensuring adherence to best practices
• Operate and manage ventilators and respiratory equipment such as Hamilton C1 and Bubble CPAP
• Maintain accurate patient records using Meditech
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
• Adhere to hospital policies, including BLS and ACLS certifications; NRP preferred or obtainable post-hire

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
• Minimum 2 years general respiratory therapy experience
• Strong NICU skills, including at least level 3 expertise with CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula, and Bubble CPAP
• Familiarity with Hamilton ventilators (C1, V60, MR1)
• BLS and ACLS certifications; NRP preferred or ability to obtain after hire
• Ability to work 3-12 hour shifts weekly, including every other weekend
• Professional presentation: all-black scrubs required

Schedule/Hours:

• 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each
• Includes every other weekend coverage
