The Big Picture

Whitmell Church of Faith (whitmellchurchoffaith.org) is seeking a full-time pastor to lead our congregation in faith, worship, and spiritual growth.

The Church

Whitmell Church of Faith was established two years ago as we stepped out in faith to become an independent church whose beliefs are founded on Biblical principles and that the Bible is the true written word of God. We are a traditional church that is family oriented, with worship services designed to be uplifting, inspiring, and centered around the teachings of Christ. We offer a variety of ministries and programs for people of all ages and backgrounds. From youth groups to Bible studies to community involvement, there is something for everyone.

The Candidate

We are seeking a pastor deeply rooted in their faith, with a strong personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Someone who will be a faithful preacher of God's word, delivering dynamic, Bible based sermons that will inspire and challenge us. A pastor who will lead in worship; counsel the distressed and grieving; preside at weddings and funerals; visit in homes and communities; serve the sacraments; work with the administrative council to manage the church; and perform other pastoral duties and responsibilities. Someone with a sense of humor who loves to have fun while sharing the love of Jesus Christ.

Qualifications

An ordained minister with at least 5 year’s experience and a Biblical or Theology degree from an accredited seminary/divinity school.

The Compensation

$45,000 a year plus housing and possible other negotiated compensations.
