Summary/Objective: The Accounting Manager will oversee all financial activities at the Neuman Waynesboro manufacturing facility. Duties will include oversight of financial accounting, A/P and A/R functions, and payroll functions. The Accounting Manager will be a key member of the management team with a focus on increasing levels of customer and employee satisfaction while improving the efficiency of manpower, materials and machines in a multi-shift production environment.

Essential Functions

• Maintains financial records on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Procedures.
• Arranges for audits of financial records and responds to findings.
• Prepares annual budgets
• Performs weekly detail review of A/R.
• Prepares monthly and weekly cash projections.
• Supervises the AP and AR functions
• Supervises 401K transactions
• Establishes and oversees internal control procedures
• Prepares reports required by regulatory agencies.
• Forecasts estimates and monitors the financial condition of the Company.
• Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, on the job training, and development for subordinates defining responsibilities for each position. Ensures operations personnel are sufficiently trained and counseled in the effective day-to-day performance.
• Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position manages Accounting and IT positions.

Work Environment: This job operates in a manufacturing environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.

Preferred Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent accounting experience
• Minimum of 3-5 years of general accounting experience, accounting in manufacturing facility preferred.
