Position Title: Senior Administrator, Accounts Receivable

Location: Reston, VA – On-site

Assignment Type: Permanent Hire

Compensation: $70,000 – $78,000 (annual base salary)

Work Schedule: M–F, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounts Receivable Administrator to support a fast-paced accounting team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented AR professional with strong experience in SAP, customer deductions, billing, and collections. The ideal candidate thrives in a structured environment, can manage responsibilities independently, and consistently ensures accuracy across all AR functions.

This position plays a key role in maintaining healthy receivables, resolving customer account issues, and contributing to ongoing system enhancements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process customer payments (checks, ACH, and wires) accurately and efficiently.
• Manage billing, collections, and cash application activities within the ERP system.
• Research and resolve trade and non-trade deductions.
• Maintain AR aging reports and track deduction activities.
• Communicate directly with customers regarding account discrepancies or overdue balances.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve invoicing or payment-related issues.
• Prepare AR and deduction reports using Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs).
• Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and reporting.
• Assist with credit reviews, audits, and process improvement initiatives.
• Participate in system upgrade projects and contribute recommendations based on AR needs.
• Take full ownership of assigned accounts and drive timely resolution of outstanding items.

Qualifications:

• 2–3 years of Accounts Receivable experience.
• SAP experience required.
• Hands-on experience processing and resolving customer deductions required.
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including report creation and analysis.
• Excellent communication skills and customer interaction abilities.
• Independent, reliable, and able to manage a high volume of work autonomously.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to work onsite Monday–Friday with no remote flexibility.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available).
• Experience in consumer goods or manufacturing is a plus.
• Business-related degree preferred.
