MAINTENANCE TRADES HELPER
Make meaningful contributions that fuel critical outcomes for some of the most complex government, defense, and intelligence projects. Join GDIT as a Maintenance Trades Helper for a career where your growth is just as important as the mission you support. MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACTAs a Maintenance Trades Helper, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of multiple VLS customers. You will play a crucial role in ensure MK 41 VLS equipment is maintained and tested to the stringent VLS requirements to maintain National Security.
- Performs a variety of general maintenance tasks including; but not limited to; lifting and moving materials up to 100 lbs.; loading and unloading vehicles and other activities in a helping or assisting means.
- Must have experience using basic hand tools such as ratchets, drills, grinders, etc.
- Must be able to perform other tasking under direction of supervisor.
- Transports materials; tools; and equipment to and within work sites as required.
- Follows established policies and procedures for VLS work.
- Operates hand and power equipment, including forklift, for material handling.
- Participates in special projects as required.
