Job DescriptionAs a Security Professional - Armed Screener in Harrisonburg, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare and more .
As a Screener in a healthcare location, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment by monitoring entrances, conducting routine patrols, and providing a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Your responsibilities will include interacting with staff, patients, and visitors, offering exceptional customer service and clear communication. This post is an armed position, requiring you to carry out your duties with heightened awareness and professionalism. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Greet and screen individuals entering the healthcare location, following established protocols to identify potential health concerns and risks.
- Provide customer service by addressing questions and/or concerns from visitors, patients, and staff while maintaining professionalism.
- Carry out site-specific security-related procedures and policies as directed by Allied Universal and the healthcare facility.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting with emergency response activities as needed.
- Monitor entry points and control access to the location to help to deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment.
- Maintain accurate records of screening activities, incidents, and visitor information as required by site protocols.
- Communicate promptly with Allied Universal management and/or healthcare staff regarding any concerns, incidents, or unusual observations.

- Reliability and ability to adapt to different post assignments
- A desire to gain broad experience and grow within the company
- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- Must possess an Armed Guard Card or License.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.
- A Guard Card or License is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
