AUTOMOTIVE SALES MANAGER

What you will do - Essential Responsibilities:
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage a team of 4 sales consultants.
- Lead the sales team to consistently achieve the dealership target of 80+ vehicle sales per month.
- Coach and develop team members on sales processes, customer engagement, and closing techniques.
- Monitor sales performance metrics and provide regular feedback, recognition, and corrective action.
- Assist in closing deals, structuring financing, and resolving escalated customer concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments (F&I, Service, Operations) to ensure smooth dealership operations.
- Maintain compliance with company policies, state regulations, and industry standards.
- Ensure accurate use of DealerCenter DMS for sales tracking, customer management, and reporting.
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of proven management or supervisory experience in automotive sales.
- Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Demonstrated ability to recruit, train, and retain sales staff.
- Strong leadership and motivational skills, capable of driving a team to 80+ sales per month.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service abilities.
- Experience with DealerCenter or similar DMS/CRM systems.
- Must hold or be able to obtain a valid automotive sales license (per state requirements).
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Valid driver’s license; must pass pre-employment background check, MVR, and drug screen.
Responsibilities:
- Lead daily sales meetings and set team objectives.
- Support consultants with customer interactions and deal structures.
- Monitor inventory presentation, assist in pricing strategies, and promote sales campaigns.
- Develop and execute strategies to drive showroom and digital traffic.
- Maintain accurate sales and customer data in DealerCenter DMS.
- Foster a customer-first culture that builds loyalty and repeat business.
- Drive continuous improvement in sales processes and team performance.
MYCAR pays new Sales Consultants a competitive wage while training and through the first 160 hours of selling, after which set pay through sales become the primary base of pay.
