IT Security Specialist - Workday

Description Overview: We are seeking an experienced Workday Security Specialist to design, configure, and maintain security frameworks within a Workday environment that includes HCM, Finance, and Adaptive Planning. This role requires strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate across multiple teams to ensure compliance, security, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities: Security Design & Configuration: + Develop and implement Workday security roles, permissions, and data access policies. + Configure and maintain security settings across HCM, Finance, and Adaptive modules. Governance & Compliance: + Conduct ongoing security audits and ensure adherence to SOX and internal audit requirements. + Partner with compliance teams to maintain documentation and controls for security processes. Operational Support: + Serve as the subject matter expert for Workday security, providing day-to-day support for business processes, integrations, and reporting. + Perform impact analysis for new requirements, change requests, and Workday releases. Collaboration & Leadership: + Act as a solution architect for security and compliance initiatives. + Work closely with cross-functional teams to align security strategies with business objectives. Continuous Improvement: + Stay current with Workday releases and new functionalities. + Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements. Requirements Qualifications: Experience: + Proven track record in Workday security design, configuration, and maintenance. + Hands-on experience supporting Workday HCM, Finance, and Adaptive Planning. + Strong background in security audits, compliance, and risk mitigation. Skills: + Analytical and problem-solving capabilities with attention to detail. + Ability to operate autonomously and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Certifications: + Workday Security Pro Certification (preferred). Education: + Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Economics, Business, IT). Preferred Attributes: + Effective communicator with the ability to interact at all organizational levels. + Resourceful, ambitious, and committed to achieving objectives. + Strong data analysis skills and familiarity with process improvement methodologies.
