DOW - Information Assurance Technician
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience supporting information assurance or cybersecurity operations.
- Experience supporting RMF and continuous monitoring activities.
- Familiarity with STIGs, vulnerability scanning tools, and DoD cybersecurity policies.
- Experience maintaining cybersecurity documentation and evidence.
- Strong attention to detail, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD CAC and required background investigation
- Assist with implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity and information assurance controls.
- Support RMF lifecycle activities including continuous monitoring and ATO sustainment.
- Perform STIG implementation, validation, and compliance checks.
- Conduct vulnerability scanning and support remediation efforts.
- Maintain security documentation including SSP artifacts, POA&Ms, and control evidence.
- Support audit preparation and security assessments.
- Assist with cybersecurity incident response activities and reporting.
- Monitor system configurations to ensure compliance with approved baselines.
- Collaborate with IA Managers, Cyber Security Analysts, Engineers, and system administrators.
- Support DevSecOps activities by validating security controls during deployments.
- Ensure compliance with Privacy Act, PII, and CUI protection requirements.
- Provide Tier 2/Tier 3 support for security-related issues.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and technical reviews.
- Support transition-in, sustainment, and knowledge transfer activities
