Position Summary
The Prep Cook II is an intermediate-level culinary role responsible for preparing ingredients that support daily kitchen operations at the Racquets Club. This position plays a key role in ensuring the kitchen is organized, efficient, and fully prepared to deliver high-quality food in a fast-paced, member-focused environment.
This role is ideal for someone looking to build on their culinary foundation while working in a supportive and energetic setting.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare ingredients for daily service, including chopping, slicing, portioning, and basic food preparation
- Follow standardized recipes and prep lists with accuracy and consistency
- Maintain proper labeling, dating, and storage of all food items
- Assist with organizing and maintaining inventory, including product rotation (FIFO)
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked
- Support the culinary team during service as needed
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
What We’re Looking For
- 1–2 years of kitchen or culinary experience preferred
- Basic knife skills and understanding of kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Reliable, team-oriented, and eager to learn
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a casual dining, club, or hospitality environment
- Culinary training or education
- Experience working in high-volume kitchens
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
