Gluer Operator/ Die Cutter

Join our team as a Gluer Operator/Die Cutter, where you will be instrumental in setting up, changing over, and troubleshooting machines involved in creating packaging products. Your role will include operating die cutters, flexo press, gluer operators, and offset press equipment, contributing to the production of packaging for items such as beer boxes, food cartons like Ritz crackers, Trident gum cartons, pet food, and tobacco products.

• Perform setups, changeovers, and troubleshoot machines in a manufacturing or printing/graphic packaging environment.
• Operate straight line folder gluer and other necessary plant equipment for food product packaging, including cracker boxes, beer containers, and French fry containers.
• Utilize specific die cutting experience for die cutter operations.
• Operate flexo, roll cutter, gluer, rotary gravure, sheet-fed, die cutter machines efficiently.
• Maintain quality and safety standards in the production process.

• Experience working in manufacturing or printing/graphic packaging.
• Proficiency in operating die cutters, flexo press, gluer operators, and offset press equipment.
• Experience in straight-line gluing and die cutting.
• Familiarity with large format printing machines such as Heidelberg, Koenig & Bauer (KBA), Komori.
• Knowledge of narrow or large format flexo printing machines like Uteco, KBA, and Tresu.

• Experience with specific companies such as Kenmore Envelope, Reynolds Metals/packaging, JW Fergusson and Sons, Meade West Vaco, Sabert, Graphic packaging, Novolex, West Rock, or International Paper is a plus.

The work environment is challenging, with conditions being very hot in summer and cold in winter due to the lack of climate control. The role involves working 12-hour shifts with options for day or night shifts without the need for rotation. Expect a demanding schedule of approximately 60+ hours per week, including weekends, with typical shifts running from 6 AM to 6 PM, 6 PM to 6 AM, or 7 AM to 7 PM.

This is a Permanent position based out of Sandston, VA.

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $62400.00/yr.

Booming with business and is considered essential. Recently won large contracts. They are in the process of adding new equipment and adding slitters, gluers and printers

This is a fully onsite position in Sandston,VA.

This position is anticipated to close on Dec 29, 2025.
