Outside Sales Professional

POSITION OVERVIEW

As the demand for reliable electrical infrastructure grows across industries like advanced science, government, healthcare, manufacturing, distribution, and data centers, we are expanding our product offerings to meet the evolving needs of our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and nurturing new customer accounts, as well as strengthening relationships with existing clients across a range of critical power categories, including:

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)
Power Distribution Units (PDU)
Remote Power Panels (RPP)
Low Voltage & Medium Voltage (LV & MV) Switchgear
LV & MV Transformers
UL 891 & UL 67 Panels
Generators & Associated Switching

Your expertise in electrical distribution, coupled with your ability to build relationships, will be key to driving growth and expanding our reach in the mid-Atlantic and beyond.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Meet and exceed sales goals by engaging with both prospective and existing clients.
Build long-lasting relationships and develop new customer accounts through networking, referrals, and lead conversion.
Work closely with clients to understand their needs, provide consultations, and close sales.
Collaborate with the inside sales team to source materials and fulfill orders when necessary.
Increase awareness of our service offerings and capabilities across existing and new markets.
Resolve customer inquiries and address complaints with a solution-oriented mindset.
Participate in industry associations and events to expand your professional network.
Explore new geographic markets and product offerings that complement our services.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Preferred: A strong technical background in electrical distribution, with related educational experience.
Proven success in sales with advanced prospecting techniques.
Comfort with CRM software and office tools like QuickBooks, Microsoft Office (Word & Excel), and PDF software.
Highly self-motivated, driven, and able to follow through on leads.
Knowledge of general office machinery and processes.

EDUCATION

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business management, or a related field.
At least five years of experience in sales, particularly in electrical distribution or the construction industry.
Advanced training in sales and relationship-building is a plus.

WORK HOURS

8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
Occasional after-hours networking and client events may be required.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Compensation: This position is commission-based, with a structure discussed with qualified candidates.
Healthcare: Employer-funded individual medical and dental insurance after 90 days of full-time employment.
Retirement Program: After six months of full-time employment, you're eligible for our retirement plan, including a 3% match and profit sharing.
Paid Time Off (PTO): Receive 15 days of PTO annually, covering vacation, sick leave, bereavement, and other excused absences. Additionally, we observe all major national holidays, adding 8 extra days off each year.
